Our grandfathers and great-grandfathers have preserved their property in its early 19th century condition.

In order to preserve the castle, all the parcels have been purchased from family members since 1996.

It is in 2018, following the last purchase of the parcels, that the project has entered its realization phase.
The cleaning of the paths, the lower-courtyard and the platform undertaken since 2021, has made the site accessible in its secure areas.
This work has provided safe access to viewpoints over the Sals valley, the Aude valley and the Pech plateau. There are fine views of Rennes-le-Château, Couiza, Montazels, the Blanchefort tower, the Fa tower (in the morning) and the surrounding Montségur mountains.
An archaeological study carried out on the west elevations in 2023 uncovered remarkable architectural elements and identified certain construction techniques. Emergency work in 2024-2025 will consolidate the access porch to the outbuildings from the lower courtyard, thereby improving access to the ruins.
